Die Firma Smart Building Design GmbH (Schweiz) gewinnt mit dem KNX Projekt „Energieautarke Finca Los Míticos bei Santa Margalida Mallorca“ gleich zwei KNX Auszeichnungen. Einen in der Kategorie „Special“ und zudem den erstmals vergebenen „Public“-Award, welcher zum ersten Mal durch das Publikum gewählt wurde.

Auf diese Weise stimmt sowohl die KNX Award Jury mit dem Publikum der KNX Gemeinschaft überein und konnten ihre Wertschätzung für das herausragende Projekt ausdrücken.

Erfolgreiche Schweizer Integratoren an den KNX Awards an der Light and Building: Gleich in zwei Kategorien konnte sich das Team gegen die Konkurrenz durchsetzen. Mit dem Projekt „Finca Los Miticos” bei Santa Margalida Mallorca gewann das Team in den Kategorien Special und Public.

Da die Finca abgelegen in der Serra Son Fullos liegt, ist ein Stromanschluss durch den Energieversorger auf absehbare Zeit ausgeschlossen. So entstand die Idee bei der Energieversorgung auf Wind, Solar und Notstrom zu setzen.  Auch die Brauchwasser- und Abwasserversorgung musste gelöst werden. Der Telefon- und Internetanschluss sollte über Richtfunk und Fernsehen über Satellit realisiert werden.

KNX steuert in diesem Energieautarken Haus die Beleuchtung, die Beschattung, Heizung, Lüftung und sogar die Hausgeräte werden mittels Lastabwurf der verfügbaren Energiequelle angepasst. Eine Alarmanlage sowie die Überwachung der kompletten Haustechnik basiert auf KNX und wird auf einer entsprechenden Visualisierung abgebildet.
